Appogee Leave: Employee User Guide

In this article: 


Access Appogee Leave by going to leave.appogeehr.com. There are three ways to log in - Email address and Password, G Suite Log in or Office 365 Log in. Your details will be in your welcome email, or alternatively contact your Administrator.


Basic Navigation


Once you're logged in, you'll be presented with the Dashboard, this shows your Leave Summary and a calendar of Who's off.

Your Leave will be shown in the Year at a Glance feature on the Dashboard. This may have been populated by your administrator with your data for the current Leave Year, or it may be blank. You can see above that Nathan has some approved leave in green, some pending Leave in yellow and a sickness report shown in red. The sun icons show Public or Company holidays. 


Below that is the Who's Off widget, which shows who in your team is off. Depending on the configuration, you may also be able to see other teams' Leave data by using the dropdown on the right. 


Getting around Appogee Leave can be done using the navigation bar on the left. The top section is Company Information (Directory) and below that is your Leave information.

Directory


The Directory is where you can find other employees in your organisation. There's three ways you can view this - a grid, a list or as the Org Chart. Use the icons in the top right corner to toggle between list and grid, switch between tabs to get to the Org Chart showing the teams and their managers and click show members to see the teams.

Submitting a Leave/Sickness/TOIL Request


Leave/Sickness/TOIL requests can be submitted in more than one way. From the Dashboard, click on the date in the Year at a Glance calendar or the New Request icon in the top right corner. You can also submit a Leave/Sickness/TOIL request from any of the sub-categories within the Leave section from the menu. TOIL is Time Off In Lieu and may be switched off if your company does not support this as a Leave type.


Once you've clicked on new request, a dialog will pop up asking what type of request you would like to make. 


NOTE: If you only have Leave configured, this dialog will not show and the system will take you to the next screen

Follow the guides below depending on the type of request you would like to make:

Sickness Report

TOIL Request


Leave Request:

Select your request type as Leave and you'll be directed to the next screen. Here you can edit the details of the request. If you've clicked on the date in the calendar, you'll see the below screen, if not, you'll be asked to enter the dates first, and then you'll be taken to the below screen. 



Fill out the form as below: 

Type of Leave - your system may be configured so you can select from the dropdown the type of Leave you wish to take

Dates - Enter a start and end date. You may also have the option to select whether your Leave is Full day or Half day

Requested time - this is based on your working hours, speak to your HR manager if you think this is incorrect

You may also have the option to override the time of your Leave


Check everything on this page is correct, then click Next. 


You may be required to enter a reason for your Leave Request, type in the box and click Next. 


If you're integrated with G Suite, you may be able to configure your out of office here too. 


The next screen will show a summary of your request, check this is accurate and click Submit Request. 


You'll notice your calendar has updated with the Leave request and this will show in yellow as pending until it has been approved, when it will turn green. 


Sickness Report: 

Select your request type as Sickness and you'll be directed to the next screen. Here you can edit the details of the request. If you've clicked on the date in the calendar, you'll see the below screen, if not, you'll be asked to enter the dates first, and then you'll be taken to the below screen. 



Fill out the form as below: 

Type of Sickness - choose the type of sickness form the dropdown

Dates - enter a start and end date. You may also have the option to select whether your Sickness is Full day or Half day

Requested time - this is based on your working hours, speak to your HR Manager if you think this is incorrect

You may also have the option to override the time of your Sickness.


Check everything on this page is correct, then click Next. 


You may be required to enter a reason for your Sickness Report, type in the box and click Next. 


If you're integrated with G Suite, you may be able to configure your out of office here too. 


The next screen will show a summary of your request, check this is accurate and click Submit Request. 


You'll notice your calendar has updated with the Sickness Report showing in red. 


TOIL Request:

Select your request type as TOIL and you'll be directed to the next screen. Here you can edit the details of the request. If you've clicked on the date in the calendar, you'll see the below screen, if not, you'll be asked to enter the dates first, and then you'll be taken to the below screen. 



Fill out the form as below: 

Dates - enter a start and end date

Working Dates - add in how much time you are requesting back, this can be input in days or hours

Your allowance remaining (if approved) will increase as per the amount of time you have requested back. 


Check the details are correct and click Next. 


You may be required to enter a reason for your TOIL Request, type in the box and click next. 


The next screen will show a summary of your request, check this is accruate and click Submit Request. 


You'll notice your overview wheel will have updated with pending Leave in yellow, which will change to green once the request is approved.
