Within Appogee HR its possible to conduct an employee Performance Review which allows you to gather information and feedback about an employee and review specific elements of the their performance across a set time period. There's a variety of Review Types available to choose from as well as predefined or custom review periods, for example quarterly. The Performance Review will allow you to gather 360 Feedback from across the organisation and once complete, can be saved to an employee's Performance Profile.
Team Managers have the ability to run Performance Reviews for the employees they manage. HR Managers have the ability to view the Performance Reviews of all employees in read only format.
Conducting a Performance Review
Go to Performance > Reviews > Start New Review.
To change who the review is about, use the employee switcher in the top right corner.
Select the review type, give it a title and then a review period. You can choose a pre-set time period or choose custom start and end dates.
Click Create Review.
As you go along the process, the Performance Review will be created as a draft.
A review can be made up of Employee Profile Data, Shout-outs, Goal Reports and Employee/Manager Assessment. If permitted by your admin, you can toggle off anything not needed.
Employee Profile Data - This can include any field or fields on the Personal, Employment, Performance or Assets profile data that you have stored in the Appogee HR system, edit the fields in the document by clicking +Select Fields and work through the tabs to switch the data on or off.
Shout-outs - if the employee has received any Shout-outs in the review period you can add these in here, either selectively or add them all.
Goal Reports - if any Goal Reports have been create which fall within the review period, they will be included here although note these will be included as links to the documents rather than the content of the documents.
Manager & Employee Self Assessment - Specified topics to be included in the review type (as configured by your administrator) are provided for the employee to create their self assessment and for Managers to provide feedback. When you request the employee to provide their self-assessment a manager can begin preparing their feedback. This will not be shared with the employee until the review is completed.
You can request & receive 360 Feedback at any time in the process by switching to the 360 Feedback tab. and Inviting colleagues to provide feedback on an employee. They will receive a request in their alerts panel and an email asking them to complete the feedback.
You can give a due date for the feedback and no feedback can be made past this date. The employee submitting the feedback has the option to submit or reject the feedback request. The feedback will only be shared between the requester and the submitter - and with HR admins.
Completing a Review
When you're happy that the Review is finished, click Complete Review at the top. If there is anything that has not been completed you will be prompted with a message letting you know which sections are incomplete. You are able to complete the review but you cannot go back after this point. You can cancel and make the relevant changes and then complete the review at a later date.
You can optionally make the review document available to the employee. They will see this in read only format from their review page. 360 Feedback is never available for the employee to read.
Once complete, the review is now available in Read Only format.
Reviews are then finalised and a version is saved for the employee to see, along with a fuller version for the Team Manager to see.
