Goals allows you to implement collaborative objectives to ensure your workforce are all heading in the same direction working towards known Goals. A key part of this collaborative framework is Feedback. Throughout the Goals process, you'll be able to request and submit feedback to your colleagues. This is possible in draft state by using the request and submit feedback buttons and also when a Goal is active, through the use of Shout-Outs and Check-ins.
During the Goal creation process, it's possible to Request or Submit Draft Feedback. This allows you to have an ongoing discussion around the creation and set up of the Goal, before it gets approved. All comments and requests will be audited in the Timeline. The Timeline is categorised by Draft and Approved, so once the Goal is Approved, these audit comments will be visible in the Draft section.
If you're a collaborator on a Draft Goal, use the buttons in the top right of the Goal page to either Request or Submit Feedback.
A dialog box will open where you will be able to write a comment and select who you would like feedback from. Either type their name in the search box, or click the 'All goal collaborators' button to send it to all collaborators.
Once submitted, an email will be sent to the user who has been asked to submit feedback and a note will appear in the Timeline.
If you've been asked to submit feedback on a Goal you will have had an email, and it will also be visible in the Goal page. Click the Leave Feedback Now button to write your comment.
You can leave feedback on a Goal if it hasn't been requested of you by clicking the Submit Feedback button.
A dialog box will open where you will be able to write a comment and optionally notify others. Either type their name in the search box, or click the 'All goal collaborators button' to send it to all collaborators.
Once submitted, an email will be sent to those you have chosen to notify and the Timeline will update.
Once a Goal is in approved and in Current status, you will be able to give feedback on a Goal either by submitting a Shout-out or submitting or requesting a Check-in. You can do this from the Goal page using the relevant icons in the top right corner.
Shout-outs are distinguishable by the colourful medal icon and can be used to praise an employee for doing a good job. Click the icon and the dialog box will appear, where you can select who you want to Shout-out and what your supporting comment is.
Once you're happy with the feedback, click Shout-out and it will appear in the timeline.
You can either Check-in on a Goal, or request someone else checks in on it.
Requesting a Check-in
Click the relevant icon in the top right corner, a dialog will pop up, type your comment and select who you would like to Check-in on this Goal and then click Request Check-in. This will publish in the timeline.
Submitting a Check-in
If you've been asked to submit a Check-in on a Goal, this will be visible at the top of the Goal screen when you open it. Click the 'Check-in Now' button so submit your Check-in.
You can check in on a Goal if it hasn't been requested of you if you click the relevant icon in the top right corner. A dialog will pop up, type your comment and optionally notify others, and then click Check-in.
